Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

zunna ("we") is developed and operated by Gildo Vargas, Lima, Peru. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal information. Your financial data is yours and we treat it with the utmost confidentiality.

2. Information We Collect

• Email and password to create your account, or Apple ID via Sign in with Apple.
• If you use Sign in with Apple: we only receive the name and email you authorize. Apple may generate an anonymous private email to protect your identity.
• Financial data: expenses, income, budgets and goals you record.
• Voice input via Siri (optional): if you enable Siri, you can log expenses by voice. Apple processes your voice and only sends us the resulting amount, category and note. We never receive or store an audio recording.
• Receipt scanning with the camera (optional): the app requests camera access only when you tap "Scan receipt → Take photo". The image is processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework — it is never uploaded to our servers or any third party. The image is not stored: it is used in memory to extract the text and then discarded. The only thing that may persist is the result (amount and merchant name), and only if you save the expense — it is stored in Firestore like any manually entered expense.
• Photos from your library (optional): zunna uses the iOS photo picker (PhotosPicker), which runs outside the app's process. zunna never has access to your full photo library — it only receives the photo you explicitly choose. It gets the same treatment as the camera: on-device processing, no upload, no retention.
• App preferences: selected currency, personal settings.
• Device information: iOS version, model (for technical compatibility).
• We do NOT access your contacts or location. Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a receipt, and images never leave your device. zunna never accesses your microphone directly: if you use Siri, the microphone is handled entirely by Apple and we only receive the resulting text.
• We do NOT collect data from other apps on your device.
• We do NOT sell your financial data to advertisers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the app service.
• Sync your data across devices.
• Manage your account and subscription.
• Send important communications about the service.
• Show budget alerts (at 80% and 100%) and fixed-expense reminders via local notifications, generated and scheduled entirely on your device. There are no remote push notifications and no data is sent to any server to produce them.

4. Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) with servers in the United States. Security measures: authentication required to access any data, security rules ensuring only you can see your data, HTTPS/TLS encrypted transmission, passwords stored with secure hash (Firebase Auth).

5. Sharing with Third Parties

• Google Firebase — secure data storage and authentication.
• RevenueCat — subscription management (does not access your financial data).
• Apple Inc. — Sign in with Apple authentication, App Store payment processing, and Siri voice processing if you choose to log expenses by voice. Receipt images are processed by Apple's Vision framework on your device only — they are never sent to Apple or anyone else.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.

6. Your Rights

• Access all your data from the app at any time.
• Delete your account and all data permanently from Settings > Delete Account.

Within 30 days of deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our servers unless we must retain it for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution or security purposes.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the app.
